She had all these traits. His newest, most beautiful bride. Marishka. Silvery hair, cascading gently across the ribbed satin pillows of his marble altar-like bed. Lightly parted lips, dry pink lips, raw from a fervent hungry mouth. His own.
Vladislaus Dracula watched his sweetly resting bride; her still, ghostly form, the cool pale flesh with precious sweetened blood still seeping from her wounded neck. He couldn't resist--the thought of touching her, feeding her, bedding her--his tounge found the sliding droplets, tenderly--lovingly--licking them away from her white skin. Oh, she was perfect. Brilliant...strong, and with such striking beauty. He gazed at her greedily, with such tender ravenous love. Her strength and will was what he needed most, to bear his blood...
A gentle coo took him from his musings. Aleera and Verona had come to see their Master's new bride. He beckoned to his loves, inviting them to come near. Vladislaus took great care in seeing that his wives loved one another as well. One was never more favored than the other. Of course, there were particular things he liked about each of them. He watched as his black-haired Verona, always so practical and motherly, stroked the the sleeping Marishka's forehead. His playful, sweet Aleera with her impish smile, laying beside the bride, resting her cheek on her shoulder, fingering the crystal beads beads on her tunic.
...He could not love them. He was..hollow. Empty. The spark had long since smouldered and gone out...so many years ago, murdered by a man on white wings. None of that would matter soon...
Steely green eyes fluttered open. Dracula smiled, and sat to greet his new bride.
